On April 19, 2018 leadership of the Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating held a meeting with leaders of Public Association «Republican students’ movement «Alliance of Students of Kazakhstan».
The Alliance of Students of Kazakhstan is the largest organization that unites thousands of students across the country and strives to improve the quality of education in universities, ensure respect for students' rights, establish conditions for effective implementation of intellectual, creative, spiritual and innovative potential of student youth.
Throughout its activities, IAAR collaborates with representatives of students, involving them in the external evaluation of universities and colleges, including the Expert and Accreditation Councils of the Agency.
During the meeting, the Director of the IAAR Zhumagulova A.B. and the President of the «Alliance of Students of Kazakhstan» Tustikbayev I. signed a Memorandum of Cooperation between the two organizations. The signing of the Memorandum will promote further closer cooperation in the area of consolidation of Kazakhstani student youth based on the idea of development and prosperity of Kazakhstan, assistance in increasing the students' education in the field of quality assurance and improving the system of national higher education.
The work of the IAAR and the Alliance of Students will focus on the following areas:
- increasing the level of openness (transparency) and objectivity in the sphere of education quality assurance;
- informing students about the quality of educational services and educational programs;
- development of cooperation by attracting students as an expert and training experts to assess the education quality among students to participate in independent accreditation procedures;
- exchange of experience in the field of procedures and mechanisms for independent assesment and accreditation of educational organizations;
- mutually beneficial representation of interests in the field of accreditation at the national and international levels, as well as supporting the Parties in promoting the national system of quality assessment.
