Rating studies of the demand for HEIs, conducted annually by the Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating (IAAR), are aimed at providing information support to applicants to select a university and educational programs. This year, IAAR published the results of the National ranking of demand for HEIs in Kazakhstan - 2019 in the nationwide newspaper “Kazakhstanskaya Pravda” dated May 15, 2019 and on its website (http://www.iaar.kz/en/ratingi/ranking-of-heis-2019).The IAAR ranking is widely known to the academic and scientific community of Kazakhstan and causes great interest among government bodies. Ranking of educational programs of the IAAR is recognized by the IREG Observatory (Brussels, Belgium) - an international non-profit association of rating organizations, universities and other organizations of which the IAAR is a member. The purpose of the IREG Observatory is to inform the general public and clarify a number of issues related to university rankings and academic performance. The IREG Observatory on Academic Rankings published the results of the IAAR National Ranking of HEIs of Kazakhstan-2019 on its website (http://ireg-observatory.org/en/1004-kazakhstan-top-20-ranking). The IAAR ranking is actively published and discussed in social networks.
