The External expert commission has began a work for specialised accreditation of residency and bachelor programs at the Semey State Medical University on June 27, 2016.

During the first day of the visit, according to the approved program, the Commission met the directors, faculty and departments. There was a discussion about improvement, analysis, review, and evaluation of educational programs between members of the EEC and representatives of the collegiate bodies of the university, including teaching Council, the Committee of educational programs of postgraduate education, the "Pharmacy" educational program. The committee visited the office of registrar, the center of evidence-based medicine, teaching and clinical center. Meetings, interviews and questionnaires of faculty and residents were held as well. The EEC visit will be completed on June 29.
