The 8th ENQA Members’ Forum, hosted by the Aragon Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ACPUA), took place on 19-20 April 2018 in Zaragoza, Spain. The Forum was attended by more than 100 representatives of ENQA members’ organizations, including representatives of the Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating (IAAR).

The Forum was opened with welcome addresses by Pilar Alegria, the Aragon Minister for Innovation, Research and Higher Education and Christoph Grolimund, President of ENQA.

At the same time, the following issues were considered at the Forum:

• Social dimension in quality assurance

• UNESCO’s Global Convention on the Recognition of Higher Education Qualifications

• Can the ESG support innovative policy and practice? - Results of the EQUIP project

• An Adaptive Trust-based e-assessment System for Learning. TeSLA Project

• Database of External Quality Assurance Reports (DEQAR)

• Linking Academic Recognition and Quality Assurance (LIREQA)

• Harmonization of African Higher Education Quality Assurance and Accreditation of in (HAQAA) Initiative

Within the framework of the Forum, the General Assembly of ENQA was held. The General Assembly considers the full and affiliated membership of the agencies. At the same time, it was decided to review the requirements for affiliated members in the direction of strengthening.

The ENQA Members’ Forum 2018 allowed participants to consider and discuss a wide range of issues related to the state of the sphere of quality assurance in the European and international space, exchange practical experience and outline the nearest development prospects.
